One Response to “How many points does a club need to have to be certain of avoiding relegation from the English football League One?”
According to last 7 years the 20th team had to have an average of approx. 50 points to avoid relegation. But this number varies and increases gradually (in 99/00 [when only bottom 3 teams got relegated] 44 pts were enough [20th - 45 pts - not much difference], whereas last season the lucky survivor had to have 52 pts).
Then answering your question – to be certain a club has to obtain about 55+ pts.
