Dare I say it? Italian coaches and English football?

UC BLUES -Amused beyond belief asked:

PL or International level.. it just doesn’t work?
Your thoughts?
edit: so do we and I have thought for quite some time, that his tactics are dubious, are we seeing a pattern emerging??
@ Kitty, but Lamps and Rooney weren’t on tonight… I just don’t think the Italian tactics suit the English game. The game is so slow and static and lacking invention and flow… those new bloods must have wanted to prove something… City are very defensive now, even with their attacking force, Ancelotti seems to only really have one game plan… thats the point I am making… maybe its just not the right marriage

    LOL

the team sucks, stop looking at the manager and instead more towards you’re precocious stars like Lamps and Gerrard Rooney etc – they don’t want to play for England. They care more about club football

our system with youth players sucks, basically we are teaching them a backwards way of thinking

edit: I used the likes of Lamps etc as examples of big stars, the problem is England players seem to know only one way to play football and can’t adapt very well against other teams with a more tactical style. Someone such as big Sam would get England playing to their strengths but we would be awful.

we are too one dimensional, we can’t cope
