Help deciding on two new football teams to support?
Ryan – The Aussie Packer Fan asked:
I live in Australia and am a huge Liverpool fan. I want to start watching La Liga and Italian Serie A and need help deciding on a team to go for from each league. I want a team that has passionate fans (like at anfield), has won championships and is a good all round team. Any Idea’s?

in la liga, it should be real madrid but take a look at valencia too. in serie a, you should go for inter milan, mourinho will be quite a factor there as a coach.

So your a Glory hunter ay?
Well then you should go for Real Madrid in La Liga and one of the Milan teams in Serie A.
I personally don’t follow either league that much but I do like to see Atletico Madrid and Cagliari do well.

Why do you specify teams that have won championships ?
Picking the biggest sides in every league, does not make you a fan. Try picking a side you have some attachment to, maybe you have a friend who lives Florence – which would give you a reason to like Fiorentina (you’d still not be a fan).
The joy of supporting a football team, is not to do with the cups they win. Supporting a smaller team where you’re expected to lose most games can give you much higher highs when they cause an upset, than watching a team you expect to win every game.
Gloryhunters tend to like the Champions League, football fans don’t.
