Is Knicks new coach Mike D’Antoni the only Italian-American coach ?
Brad G asked:
I know most Italian-Americans are involved in Football & Baseball and they are not known to be heavily involved in basketball, so is Knicks new coach Mike D’Antoni the only Italian-American in the NBA ?

No, Marc Iavaroni of the Memphis Grizzlies and P.J. Carlesimo of the Seattle/Oklahoma city SuperSonics are also Italian-Americans

There are tons of italian coaches in basketball. Maybe not in the nba but definately in the college and high school level. Look at Rick Pitino, John Calipari and from back in the day Jimmy V. And Lou Carnesecca. Also in high school and aau a lot of the well known coaches in the NYC area are italian. Look at naclerio (high school coach of rafer alston, royal ivey, and hundreds of d1 players) and doc nicelli. Those are some of the most well-known, but I know for a fact that there are a lot out there.
