Which italian word/expression did Mourinho use?

Ben M asked:

I read a recent interview with Jose Mourinho in which he stated that Italians prefer the (gossip or drama) to the actual football or something similar but he use an Italian word to describe it but I can’t find the interview anywhere? Does anyone know what word he used to describe ‘gossip’ or ‘drama’?

Mourinho was talking about the term ‘Chiacchiere’ and this means to gossip and rumour.

Non do mai retta alle chiacchiere means I never listen to gossip.
