Pronounce Barcelona – bahr-they-lona and you will sound very spanish.
Although this translation is castellano. In Barcelona they speak Catalan. I don’t know and can not understand Catalan.

In Spanish: Me gusta mucho España y mi equipo preferido de fútbol es Barcelona (or el Barça).
If you wanted, as your favourite team is Barcelona, you could also say it in Catalan, the language of Barcelona. You would have to be careful to say it only to a Catalan person though; in other parts of Spain, some people get very offended at being spoken to in Catalan.

El Barça – (pronounced: el Bar-sa) is the popular name for Barcelona’s football team – a bit like Man-U for Manchester United.
By the way, Kira’s version is likely to earn you a punch on the nose from any Barcelona supporters!! And Barça is pronounced Barsa not Barca – the little comma under the c (called a cedilla) is there as Barça is a Catalan nickname. The ç is not used in standard Spanish (- except when talking about El Barça)
