If Spanish football is said to be better than English then why is it English NT plays?

You also forgot the fact that most people **** the english. Some people say the EPL is better some say La Liga or the Serie A. I was just saying, not really trying to cause an argument.
Ok then. Lets start with clubs. All four English clubs came through compared to two spanish clubs.
As for the NT. England one WC. Spain 0. And we do generally do much better then them.
Thats not the point. The point is that the england had three and the spanish had none!
They may be fourth. But FIFA Rankings are pretty much useless. You forgot to mention the fact that in both euro 2004 and the 2006 wc england were knocked out by pk’s and not 2 straight goals.
And trust me Spain are not the favorites. Thats Italiy, Germany and France!

Well, do not go by history. History proves nothing to current days, except a thing to be proud of.
Actually, the reason why English football ‘looks’ better is because the ‘coverage’ they have. Every single one of the palyer in English NT have their own coverage. They are overrated, and media has to do something with this.
Look at the current situation, English NT had so much ‘coverage’, reports and bets. But where they ended up? Media said they’re going to win a competition if they’re in, but well the prediction gone even before they say it.
People always play down the Spaniards and their NT. Well, look who were among the first to qualify for EURO 2008? England NT played like they wanna kill someone when they’re facing the Swedes, but still ended up with even goal(s) in both sides. Bad luck, huh? Prove it.
Sweden has been beaten twice by Spain last year, away and home. So, the question is, was that just by luck or skills are the factor?
Don’t waste your time and money betting on a team who said they will win it. I call it ‘over-confident’. Just sit down do your work. Train hard like there will be no tomorrow. Prove the skills on the pitch, not off the pitch.
There’s no expectation for Spain in this EURO, but do expect something from them.

this is going to be a rare occasion where i will disagree with you. beckham and owen ****** for madrid.
c ronaldo won’t score as many goals as he does right now if he transfers.
english football gives you more open space to play an dhave less world class defenders.
as for owen and beckham, you could argue they were just past it or hd bad chemistry with teammates.
henry too was more successful with arsenal.

Because Spain are the favorites to win the Euro and England didn’t even qualify? Because in Euro2004 Spain had the two finalists in their group? Because in World Cup 2006 Spain played France in the round of 16 and England played Ecuador?
I haven’t got a clue to be honest, but what I do know is that Spain is ranked 4th in the World and England is 12th.

And if by Spanish football you mean the league then it makes sense because in a league you have different players from different cultures. At the end of the day it’s up for opinion I don’t think one league over powers the other.

Spanish football is better than English football because they’re more about the game and less about the petty stuff. English fans (NOT ALL OF THEM!) tend to get girly about my team’s better! what a lame ref! ok, people, get over it, it’s over now.
As for the national teams, uh, bad timing on your part. Euro 2008, girlie. Plus the fact that Spain is 8 places above England in the FIFA rankings (4 and 12 respectively).

I see your point but as BabyBoy said look at it RIGHT NOW which says Spain is better and also league doesn’t go with the national team look at Brazil for example. FIFA ranking is actually goes by earning points so it should be helpful not useless, though agree a team rank under 20 could beat one of top 10. Plus Englan need a scorer that’s what I notice in WC and Euro08.

Then why are Spanish football players one of the best in EPL (Torres, Xabi, Fabregas, Arteta etc) when England had only two great players in La Liga (Lineker and Beckham)…… as for NT, Spain just like Netherlands were always underachievers and NT team doesn’t have nothing to do with the league, Croatia is better than England but is HNL better than EPL and is Dinamo Zagreb (Croatian champion) better than Man U…. off course not!!!
